ISM Canada in the Community

Fostering IT Education for Youth

ISM Canada encourages young people's curiosity about science and technology.  A member of the Saskatchewan Science Centre, ISM Canada works with community partners to deliver programs like Women in Technology and ISM Canada scholarships.

A key element in ISM Canada's corporate community relations (CCR) strategy is creating access to technology for young people and enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of the communities we serve.  We place emphasis on activities that foster awareness of science and technology in society, especially among young people.

Women in Technology

Women in TechnologyWomen in Technology (WIT) is an educational seminar program delivered by employees from ISM Canada, IBM, and Polar Bear Corporate Educational Solutions employees and their colleagues from community partner organizations, to middle school girls over the course of an academic year.

Computers for Schools

ISM Canada contributes used computer equipment, including used laptops, to Computers for Schools (CFS), an organization founded by SaskTel Pioneers and Industry Canada to help recycle old hardware for educational uses.  Over the past few years, ISM Canada has donated approximately $100,000 in used computer hardware and peripherals to Computers for Schools.
