Throughout his career, Hasnain has built and led high performing teams. In his almost twenty years with IBM Canada, he held a range of leadership and executive roles across the sales and finance organizations. Prior to his current position, he led IBM Canada’s Technical Support Services division where he was responsible for their transformation into a leading-edge open source support organization built on data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Hasnain was born and raised in the coastal city of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. He moved to Canada in 1996 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics at York University, and subsequently earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Outside of work, Hasnain likes to play squash and enjoys volunteering at his local community centre in numerous capacities including sporting, community events, and fundraising activities.
